Help! I Have Termites in My Home!
Don’t panic!! We deal with active termite infestations every day. But remember these simple guidelines:
- Don’t disturb the termites more than you already have. Don’t let any one else poke around and introduce the dry outside air into their system of galleries.
- Tape over any holes that were made when you discovered the termites.
- Call a professional, preferably a company that has been around for a while.
- Make sure the treatment options include an ongoing termite damage warranty, but make sure the warranty:
- Will be available to your house;
- Doesn’t require you to carry out major works like removing retaining walls.
- Is not limited to just timber replacement.
- Often replacement of the affected timber is just a small part of the overall cost.
